Hereheretue (also Hereheretue ) is an atoll in the Pacific Ocean, which is part of French Polynesia. It consists of about 40 islets ( motu ) that surround a central lagoon. Hereheretue is the northernmost atoll of the Îles du Duc de Gloucester in the Tuamotu Archipelago. The closest neighboring island Anuanuraro is 150 km away. Administratively, the atoll belongs to the municipality Hao.

Most inhabitants live in the largest Motu in the south. There is Otetou with the only permanently inhabited settlement in the Îles du Duc de Gloucester.

Hereheretue is registered in the Guinness Book of Records as the name with most accents.
