Honda Juno
Honda Juno is the name for two scooters types of the Japanese manufacturer Honda. Were produced 1954-1955 5890 vehicles the K- series (K, KA, KB) and 1961 to 1962, the M- series ( M80, M85 ) in 5880 copies. The Juno was never offered in Europe. A single copy is located in the German two-wheeler and NSU - Museum in Neckarsulm.
Technology
The Juno K has a fan-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke engine with overhead valves and a three -speed gearbox The engine capacity is 189 cc (K ) or 220 cc (KA and KB ) and the maximum power 5.6 kW (7.5 hp ) at 4800 rpm (K ) or 6, 7 kW (9.0 hp ) at 5500 rpm (KA and KB ). The Juno K has a plastic lined pipe frame, weighs 160-195 kg ( depending on version) and reaches a top speed of 70 km / h
The M- series motor scooter has a longitudinally mounted airstream cooled two- cylinder four-stroke boxer engine to the driving direction. The frame was made of welded steel plate. The engine has a displacement of 189 cc and develops a rated output of 7 kW (9.5 hp) at 5500 rpm. Furthermore, the Juno with two Keihin carburetors, a 12 -V battery and a contact-controlled coil ignition is equipped.
Will be leaving the Honda Juno with electric starter or recoil starter. The engine power is transmitted through a continuously variable automatic transmission Badalini as secondary drive is an encapsulated roller chain.
