Geographical Location

Kainbach is about 5 km east of Graz in the East Styrian Hill Country.

Policy

Since the municipal elections in 2000, Manfred Schöninger of the ÖVP Mayor of Kainbach. After the municipal elections of 2010, the municipal council is composed as follows:

Coat of arms

Coat Description: Green silver everted and resist seeing a lion with knocked-out tongue and a horned, poking out of the mouth flames Panther, the Lion with a pomegranate, the panther with a German cross of the Order in the Vorpranken; the tails of the animals devoured twice. The award of the municipality coat of arms was made with effect from 1 October 1989.

Economy and infrastructure

Traffic

As major streets lead track Straße (B 65) and the Ragnitzstraße (L 327 ), the honey valley road (L 326 ) and the Schilling Straße (L 368) by Kainbach. From the town hall there is access via the B65 about 20 minutes drive east to track the village and 10 minutes drive to the west in the state capital Graz. The south motorway (A2 ) is the junction Lassnitzhoehe in about 5 km distance, the Weiz Road ( B 72 ) is about 5 km away.

In Kainbach there is no train station. The nearest railway stations are the station of the neighboring community Lassnitzhoehe and the main train station in Graz is about 10 km away.

Graz Airport is reachable in about 22 km.

Education, and public facilities

The community is well known in the 600, both physically and mentally disabled people are cared for primarily by the John of God Care Center Brothers of Charity, which is located in the district Ragnitz, and. In 2004, an asylum for drug addicts ( WALKABOUT ) was added, which is just off the Ries Road ( B65 ).

Partner community

Partner Municipality of Kainbach is Bautar in Transylvania in Romania. On December 27, 1989, the policy decision was taken in 1996 was the visit of the folk dance group from Ciobanasul Bautar in Kainbach.
