Karri Rämö

Karri Rämö ( born July 1, 1986 in Asikkala ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender who stands in July 2013 in the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League contract. Furthermore, since the beginning of the 2011/12 season Rämö acts as general manager of the Finnish Mestis clubs Peliitat Heinola.

Career

Rämö played during his time at junior Kiekkoreipas, before moving to the Pelicans Lahti in summer 2003. For this he was from 2003 to 2005 in the SM- liiga active. At first, he was only the third goalkeeper behind Mikko Rämö and Carl Grahn, received in the 2004/05 season but the trunk space in front of Pasi Nurminen and Jaakko Suomalainen. Internationally

Rämö represented his native Finland for the first time at the U18 World Youth Championship in 2004. Doing so, he came as a substitute of Tuukka Rask just to use one. The Finns occupied at the end of the tournament in seventh place. In the U20 World Youth Championship 2006, he was again back-up of Rask and also played only one game. Nevertheless, he won the bronze medal.

In the senior Rämö belonged at the World Championships in 2008 and 2009 for the Finnish squad.
