History

Around 790 of the monastery Niederaltaich Wihmvntiga ( copy of 1254 ) or Wimtingen (copy of 11th century ) is mentioned in the land register, derived from the personal name Wihmunt. 1292 appears in a document of the Bishopric of Regensburg Laberweimpting, presumably to distinguish it from the Regensburg district Burgweinting. Laberweinting was closely connected to the Bishopric of Regensburg, has been proven since the 13th century had land in Laberweinting.
