Launstroff

Launstroff ( German Launsdorf, Lorraine Launschtroff ) is a commune of 260 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Thionville -Est and Canton Sierck- les- Bains.

Geography

Launstroff lies on the border zm Saarland, ten kilometers from the border triangle France - Germany - Luxembourg, at an altitude 285-407 m above sea level. The municipality covers 7.81 km ².

History

The place belongs since 1661 to France. The municipality Launstroff since 1812 include the village Flatten and since 1830 the village Scheuerwald.
