London Wildcats

The London Wildcats were a Canadian ice hockey team from London, Ontario. The team played in the 1994/95 season in the Colonial Hockey League.

History

The franchise of the St. Thomas Wildcats from the Colonial Hockey League was founded in 1994 by St. Thomas, Ontario, London, Ontario, relocated and renamed London Wildcats. In their only season, the 1994/95 season, the London Wildcats with 70 points occupied the second place in the East Division. In the following playoffs for the Colonial Cup they failed in the first round of the eventual finalists Muskegon Fury with 1:4 victories in the best- of-seven series. Due to low viewership, the team was inactive during the following season.

Prior to the 1996/97 season, the franchise was to Dayton, Ohio, relocated, where it subsequently participated under the name Dayton Ice Bandits game on operation of the Colonial Hockey League.
