Olgiate Comasco is a northwestern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 11,415 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the Province of Como in Lombardy. The community is located about 9.5 km west- southwest of Como and about 10.5 km east-southeast of Varese. Since 1998, the community holds the title città (city).
The municipality is situated on the Strada Statale 342 Briantea east of Varese to Bergamo. The station on the railway Como- Varese no longer exists. This part of the line was closed in 1966 and dismantled.
Olgiate Comasco has partnerships with the French commune in the département of Oise and Liancourt with the Hungarian Pesterzsébet, the 20th district of Budapest, since 2009 an intra- Italian partnership with the municipality of San Cataldo in the province of Caltanissetta ( Sicily).
