Oreste Puliti

Oreste Puliti ( born February 18, 1891 in Livorno, Livorno Province, † February 5, 1958 in Lucca ) was an Italian foil and saber fencers and four -time Olympic champion.

Puliti took for the first time in 1920 in Antwerp participate in the Olympics. With the Italian team he won two gold medals in foil and saber fencing. In the individual events he was number 4 and 7

Four years later, at the Games in Paris, he was able to defend the Italian saber team gold medal. With the foil they came on the 4th Place. In the individual competition with the saber, the Italian fencer withdrew in protest against a referee decision during the finals.

At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928, he joined at the age of 37 years again. With the foil team he won another gold medal and with the saber team he won the silver medal. At foil individual competition he finished fourth.
