The diocese of Gap (Latin: Dioecesis Vapincensis ) is a located in France Roman Catholic diocese based in Gap.

History

The diocese of Gap was built in the 5th century and the Archdiocese of Aix is a suffragan. On 29 November 1801, the diocese of Gap was disbanded and the area became the dioceses Digne and Grenoble affiliated. The diocese of Gap was established on October 6, 1822 by Pope Pius VII, with the Apostolic Constitution Paternae charitatis again. On 16 December 2002 the diocese of Gap was the Archdiocese of Marseille is a suffragan.
