The Diocese of Montauban (Latin: Dioecesis Monti Albani ) is a located in France Roman Catholic diocese based in Montauban, Tarn- et- Garonne.

History

The Diocese of Montauban was posted on July 11, 1317 by Pope John XXII. noster built with the Apostolic Constitution Salvator out of territory of the diocese of Cahors and the archbishopric of Toulouse and the Archdiocese of Toulouse is a suffragan. On 29 November 1801, the diocese of Montauban was dissolved and the area was annexed to the archbishopric of Toulouse. The Diocese of Montauban was established on October 6, 1822 by Pope Pius VII, with the Apostolic Constitution Paternae charitatis again.
