Rurange-lès-Thionville
Rurange -lès- Thionville ( German Rörchingen, Lorraine Rurchéngen ) is a commune with 2304 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.
Geography
The community Rurange -lès- Thionville is about eleven kilometers south-east of Thionville. To the municipality since 1812 and the two southern villages Logne include ( Leiserhof ) and Montrequienne ( Monterchen ), which are already on the French side of the former German - French language border.
History
The town was first mentioned in 1179 as Runeringa and heard since 1661 to France.
