Snizhne
Snischne (Ukrainian Сніжне; Russian Снежное / Sneschnoje to German: "Snow " ) is a city of regional importance and a center of coal mining and Lebensmittelindustrieim Donets Basin in eastern Ukraine with 47 253 inhabitants ( 2013).
History
The place was founded in 1784 to 1864 in honor of a Cossack general the name Wassyliwka ( Василівка ). Since 1938 Snischne has the status of a city. From October 1941 to September 1943, the city of troops of the German Wehrmacht was occupied.

Geographical location
Snischne is situated 75 km east of the Oblastzentrum Donetsk and 12 kilometers east of the gate in the southeast of the Donetsk Oblast on the border of Luhansk Oblast. At the city over the national highway runs.
