The University of San Carlos ( USC) ( Latin: Universitas Sancti Caroli; Tagalog: Unibersidad ng San Carlos ) is a company incorporated in 1595 private Catholic university in Cebu City, Philippines.

The university was founded on August 1, 1595 as the Colegio de San Ildefonso by Jesuits and renamed 1783 as Colegio de San Carlos; 1948 the College got the rights of a university. Since 1935, the College of the Divine Word Missionaries (SVD) is conducted.

The University consists of eight faculties and 27 departments:
