Villa Comaltitlán is a municipality in the Mexican state of Chiapas, located in the south of the state. The name of this place comes from Nahuatl and means " place of the potters ".

The municipality has 27 899 inhabitants and is 447 km ². Administrative seat and largest town of the Municipalities is the same villa Comaltitlán. In the south of the municipios are parts of the nature reserve Reserve of the Biosphere " La Encrucijada ".

The municipality borders the municipalities of Escuintla, Huixtla and Acapetahua.
