Zumpahuacán is a municipality in the Mexican state of México. The community had in 2010 16.149 inhabitants, its surface area is 201.5 km ².

Administrative seat and largest of the 30 places of Municipalities is the same Zumpahuacán. Other major cities include San Gaspar and San Pablo Tejalpa.

Geography

Zumpahuacán located in the south of the State of México. The highest peak in the municipality is the 2800 m high Totsquilla. About 60% of the municipal area is wooded.

The municipality borders the Municipalities Zumpahuacán Malinalco, Ixtapan de la Sal, Villa Guerrero, Tenancingo and Tonatico and to the Municipalities Coatlán del Río and Pilcaya in the state of Guerrero.
