Elvange, Moselle
Elvange ( German Elwingen, Lorraine Ilwingen ) is a commune with 363 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Boulay -Moselle and the Canton Faulquemont.
Geography
The community Elvange located on the German Nied, about twelve kilometers southwest of Saint- Avold at an altitude 227-305 m above sea level. The municipality covers 7.12 km ².
History
The village belongs since 1766 to France.
1871-1918 it was again temporarily to the German Reich.
