Roupeldange

Roupeldange ( German Ruplingen ) is a commune with 383 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.

Location

The municipality is located three kilometers north-west of Boulay- Moselle.

History

Roupelange was first mentioned as Rubildinga in the 12th century. Other names were Ruppeldeng (1271 ), Roupeldanges (1300), Rupp Lingen alias Ruppeldanges (1594 ), Ruplingen ( 1606 ), Raupeldingen ( 1693), Rupeldange (1779 ).
