Velving

Velving ( German Welwingen ) is a commune of 239 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.

Location

The municipality is located in the north of Lorraine, about six kilometers south of Bouzonville.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1241 as Volvanges.
