Haute-Vigneulles

Haute- Vigneulles ( German Oberfillen, Lorraine Oberfiln ) is a commune with 424 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region.

Geography

The municipality of Haute- Vigneulles located about 28 kilometers east of Metz and 14 kilometers west of Saint- Avold.

Since 1810, the south village is Lower Vigneulles ( Niederfillen ) part of the community Haute- Vigneulles.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1325 as Obervilen and belongs since 1766 to France. 1871-1918 he was temporarily again to the German Reich.
