Controversies

In the course of the tournament, only two games were played:

  • December 6, 1909 Olympic Bucharest - Bucharest Tina Cole 2:1 (2:0)
  • December 25, 1909 Tina Cole Bucharest - Ploiesti United 2:0 ( 0:0)

In retrospect, it was generally believed that the Olympic Bucharest had won this competition, and therefore the club for the first Master of Bucharest and years later was appointed retroactively to the first Romanian national champion. Other sources claim that Cole Tina Bucharest was the actual winner of the Cup, because some games did not take place due to the no-show one of the teams. However, make sure there is no evidence in the former daily press find. Research by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics According to another clash between United Ploiesti and Bucharest Olympics have taken place, had emerged from the United victorious by a single goal. So Tina Cole would have been the first legitimate master of Bucharest.
