1956 Mestaruussarja
The Mestaruussarja 1956 was the 26th season for the Finnish football championship since the introduction of Mestaruussarja. It was contested among ten teams. Master was KuPS Kuopio before the two capital clubs HJK Helsinki and Helsinki KIF.
In the final, the Finnish Football Cup, two teams faced each other, did not play in the first division in 1956. The Helsingin Pallo - Pojat proposed around 2000 spectators in the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, Tampere Kisatoverit 2-1.
