1988 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships

In the Olympic year 1988 1980 and 1984, no World Championship for Men was held like this.

The 12th World Youth Championships U -20 took place in 1988 as follows:

Youth A World Championship: December 26, 1987 to January 4, 1988 in Moscow in the Soviet Union Junior B World Cup: March 12 to 21, 1988 in Sapporo, Japan. Junior C Championship: March 18 to 27, 1988 in Belluno Feltre and in Italy.

A total of 24 teams took part. Canada won his third world title.
