2007 WTA Tour

The WTA Tour 2007 is the 34th year of the women's tennis tournament series, which is held annually by the Women 's Tennis Association. In 36 different countries, the WTA, the union of professional tennis players, a total of 61 tournaments organized.

Dominant Player of the Year was Justine Henin. She won a total of 10 events (Dubai, Doha, Warsaw, Roland Garros, Eastbourne, Toronto, U.S. Open, Stuttgart, Zurich, Madrid), including two Grand Slam tournaments and the season finale. The first Grand Slam tournament in Australia was canceled due to her divorce Henin. End of 2007, she led the world rankings as plainly as the list of prize money distributed.

In doubles, the combination Black / Huber was 9 Tournament Win secure ( Australian Open, Paris ( Indoors ), Antwerp, Dubai, Wimbledon, San Diego, Moscow, Linz, Madrid). Again, there were two Grand Slam tournaments and the Masters on the credit side.

The German Greta Arn (now Hungarian ) managed in Estoril the feat of winning the tournament as a qualifier. The comeback of the year succeeded Lindsay Davenport, the mother was in mid-2007 and then announced a few weeks her return to the tour and fall in Bali and Quebec could bring in two more titles.

The team competitions Hopman Cup and Fed Cup are like Grand Slams not organized by the WTA but the ITF. Here they are listed but because the top players play these tournaments usually.
