Allmendingen bei Bern is a municipality in the Bern-Mittelland administrative district in the canton of Bern.
Geography
Allmendingen between Rubigen and Muri bei Bern southeast of the city of Bern.
History
For the first time the village was mentioned in the year 1239 as the country estate of Rudolf von Alwandingen documented. In the 16th century Alwandingen to Allmendingen was. On September 17, 1946, Winston Churchill visited the Allmendingen castle.
Until the end of 1992 Allmendingen was together with Rubigen and Trimstein part of the political community Rubigen and was only from 1 January 1993, an independent municipality.

Traffic
On July 20, 1922, the station Allmendingen was opened on the railway line Bern- Thun. However, this was off the settlement, was rather weak frequented. The stop was lifted on the timetable change in 1982. The community has since been developed by a VBW / SZU bus.
