Bougainville (Somme)
Bougainville ( Picard: Boudjinville ) is a northern French village with 443 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) by the Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes du Sud -Ouest Amiénois, in the canton Molliens- Dreuil.
Geography
Bougainville is situated on the D81 road department after Conty approximately 2.5 km southeast of Molliens- Dreuil and about 11 km southwest of Picquigny.
History
It have found traces of a Gallo- Roman villa. Bougainville was first mentioned in 1197. Fie domination courted by Picquigny and Lœuilly in the Canton of Conty.
Economy
In the south of Bougainville is a wind farm with an installed power of 12 MW.
