Rainneville

Rainneville ( Picard: Trough Ville) is a northern French village with 829 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the Canton of Villers -Bocage and is part of the Communauté de communes du Bocage et de l' Hallue.

Geography

The community is located approximately 10.5 kilometers north- north-east of Amiens on the Territory road D11 direction of Amiens in Pas -en- Artois and Arras, whose history goes back to a Roman road. The distance to Villers -Bocage is about four kilometers.

History

The discovery of a Gallo-Roman pottery has a long history of settlement. The Abbey Corbie built in the Middle Ages the court Beauvoir, which was sold in 1565 and 1650 fell into ruins.
