Country Music Association Awards
The Country Music Association Awards ( CMA Awards) are presented annually by the Country Music Association (CMA ). The award honors the most successful country music performers and songwriters of the past year, the most coveted award is for the Entertainer of the Year.
With the exception of the year 2005, when the ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York City took place, the Awards will be presented in late autumn each year in Nashville. Since 1968, the "CMA Award Show " is broadcast nationwide on television. In 1991, with George Bush for the first time a sitting U.S. president to guest.
