Denis Herron

Bernard Denis Herron ( born June 18, 1952 in Chambly, Quebec ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who played from 1972 to 1985 for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Kansas City Scouts and Montreal Canadiens in the National Hockey League.

Career

As a junior he played with the Trois- Rivières Draveurs in the QMJHL. In the NHL Amateur Draft 1972, he was selected in the third round to 40th position overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins.

In the 1972/73 season he was called to a few games with the Hershey Bears in the American Hockey League to the Penguins in the NHL squad and sat behind Jim Rutherford as the number two through. The following year, took Andy Brown, the last goalie who played without a mask, the position of the root goalkeeper and Herron was little ice age.

After three inserts in the season 1974/75 undertook the Penguins Michel Plasse and gave it off to the Kansas City Scouts. In the 1975/76 season he sat by as the number one goal of the scouts.
