Epfig

Epfig is a municipality with 2192 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in Alsace region of France. She is a member of the Communauté de communes du Bernstein et de l' Unger stone. The inhabitants call themselves ( in French ) Epfigeois or Epfigeoises. The sister city of Epfig is Welkenraedt in Belgium.

Economy and infrastructure

Epfig has its own train station SNCF in the district Finkwiller. The other districts are called Sainte -Marguerite, Fronholz and upper Litt. Out of town Epfig is involved in the wine area. In the eastern part of the municipality is an ordinary agricultural zone.
