Valff

Valff (German Walf ) is a commune with 1210 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Sélestat - Erstein, for Canton Obernai and is a member of the Association of Municipalities Piedmont de Barr.

Geography

The community Valff located in the western Upper Rhine Plain, approximately 22 km southwest of Strasbourg. The current coming from the four kilometers west towering Vosges Bach Kirneck opens below the village in the Andlau, which also forms the southeastern boundary of the municipality Valffs.

History
