History
The term " Sound " was derived from "South". Sundhouse forms with North House, Osthouse and Westhouse a quadrilateral. ( A similar situation exists in the villages of West Hope Osthoffen and Sundhoffen. ) At the center of the square, an ancient sanctuary was identified. In Sundhouse was 1909-1944 the terminus of a coming from the westerly Schlettstadt railway line, which was powered by steam.
