FAW Tianjin

Tianjin Xiali (天津 一汽 夏利 汽车) is a Chinese automobile manufacturer based in Tianjin.

History

Tianjin Xiali was founded in 1987 under the name of Tianjin FAW Xiali Automobile Co. Ltd.. in a joint venture between the First Automotive Works and the Japanese Daihatsu Motor Company. The plant maintains the car brand Xiali ( in Chinese:夏利, to German: charade ). Xiali also manufactures vehicles for the U.S. Miles Automotive Group for the Chinese domestic sales and export to the United States.

Model Overview

Xiali TJ 7100

Still in its first year Tianjin Xiali began producing its first passenger car models. With an annual production of 88,000 units, the factory put on the models Xiali TJ 7100 ( Hatchback ) and Xiali TJ 7100 U ( notchback ). Both vehicle models based on the 1987 Daihatsu Charade and were very popular in the People's Republic of China. The motors were produced by Daihatsu and were also installed in the Charade. Xiali A Series
