Flag of Botswana

The flag of Botswana was adopted by the country's independence on September 30, 1966.

Description and significance

The national flag is light blue. In the center of the flag is horizontal white a margined, black strap.

The color blue symbolizes both the sky and water and rain and comes from the coat of arms of Botswana, which is " Let it be rain " written.
