Ford Model A (1927–31)

The Ford Model A was the successor to the Model T sold for 18 years and was also produced in Europe, South America and under license in the Soviet Union. It was built as a model in 1928 from 20 October 1927, sold from December 2. The Model A was available in four standard colors, but not black. In contrast, the fenders were always painted black for manufacturing reasons.

The prices ranged from $ 385 for a roadster up to $ 570 for the luxurious four-door " Town Car ". The engine was a four-cylinder inline engine with side valves, a displacement of 3.3 liters, a simple updraft carburetor Zenith and about 30 kW ( 40 hp). The typical fuel consumption ranged from 8 to 9 liters per 100 kilometers. The maximum speed of the Model A was about 104 km / h It had a wheelbase of 103.5 inches ( 2.6 m) and a rear axle ratio of 3,77:1. The transmission was a 3-course Schieberadgetriebe with reverse. The production was completed on August 31, 1931, with 4,320,446 vehicles built in all versions. The Model A was replaced by an updated model, which was called by Ford Model B.

The Russian company GAZ, which started a cooperation between Ford and the Soviet Union built a licensed version of the model A.

Model AA

Much like its predecessor, it was also a truck on an equal basis. It was called the Ford Model AA. he has longer chassis, strengthened suspension with steel instead of spokes wheels and dual tires for the heavier versions.
