Hattigny

Hattigny is a commune with 207 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Sarrebourg and Canton Lorquin.

Geography

The community Hattigny lies at the foot of the Vosges mountains, about 13 kilometers south of Sarrebourg on the border with the department of Meurthe -et -Moselle. The municipality covers 13.14 km ².

Southwest of the Etang de Hattigny is ( Hattinger pond ). The commune includes the two hamlets

  • Risholz ( Risholz ), located west and
  • Bonlieu ( Guthof ), located south.

History

The place was known in the Middle Ages under the name Hittingen and heard since 1661 to France. In 1830 he had 599 inhabitants.

1915-18 and 1940-44 he was named Hattingen.

The municipal area is a park of the hotel chain Center Parcs. Her name is " Domaine les Trois Forêts ", and there is the greatest Center Parc in Europe.
