Richeval
Richeval ( German Reichental ) is a commune of 137 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Sarrebourg and Canton Réchicourt -le- Château.
Geography
Richeval located 15 kilometers west of Sarrebourg at the border of the neighboring department of Meurthe -et -Moselle at an altitude 286-353 m above sea level. The municipality covers 4.92 km ².
The municipality Richeval includes the two hamlets
- Risholtz ( Risholz ) together with the castle, located on the east, and
- Grand Treuch, formerly sharks - of - Allemands ( Deutschenhag ), facing south.
History
The village was German until 1681, then came to France, in 1871 and again in 1919 German French again. In the period 1939-1945 it was under the German administration again and then again the French.
