Geography
Geographical location
Heeslingen is about 5 km east of Zeven in Zevener Geest. Through the town flows the river Oste.
Community structure
In addition to the village Heeslingen to the municipality include the districts Boitzen, Freyersen, Meinstedt, Sass wood, Steddorf, Weertzen, Wense and Wiersdorf Osterheeslingen.
History
Oldest traces of settlement dating to the Middle Stone Age over 6,000 years ago, from the late Stone Age about 3700 years ago are a number of megalithic tombs exist.
Heinrich Himmler was arrested in May 1945 in the district Meinstedt by the British military.
On March 1, 1974, the municipalities Boitzen, Meinstedt, Sass wood, Steddorf, Weertzen, Wense and Wiersdorf were incorporated.

Coat of arms
Blazon: Azure, a tower with the left Asked, silver church on a slight left laying golden oak leaf with two acorns.
The coat of arms depicts a perspective view of the right running after nichtheraldisch silver church on a blue background. Below that is a right may result after nichtheraldisch golden oak leaf, protruding from its petiole two golden acorns up and down. The coat of arms church also corresponds in appearance to the village church before the destruction of the bell tower in 1875.

The breakpoint Heeslingen lies on the railway line Wilstedt - Tostedt, northeast of Hamburg Zeven above the running rail line. The cycle route Hamburg -Bremen runs through the community.

In Heeslingen of playing in the Oberliga Niedersachsen TuS Heeslingen is established.
