Morvillars ( formerly Morsweiler German ) is a town in the French department of Territoire de Belfort in the Franche -Comté.

Geography

Morvillars is located on 337 m above sea level, about eleven miles southeast of the town of Belfort ( a straight line ). The village is located in the lowlands of the Burgundian Gate, in the valley on both sides of the Allaine, on the northern edge of the plateau of the Bois de la Voivre.

The area of ​​5.27 km ² municipal area includes a portion of the weakly in relief landscape in the Burgundian Gate ( trouée de Belfort ). The central part of the area is traversed in an east-west direction from the valley of the Allaine, which provides for the drainage to the Doubs. History
