Nion Tocker

Nion Robert Tucker ( born August 21, 1885 in Suisun City, California, † April 22, 1950 in San Francisco) was an American bobsledder and entrepreneurs.

Tucker studied at the University of California and worked from 1909 as an investment broker. In 1920 he became managing director of the company Bond, Goodwin & Tucker. He participated in the Olympic Winter Games in 1928 in St. Moritz and won with the Fünferbob the gold medal.

1929 Tucker was involved in the founding of United Airlines, which was created through the merger of several small airlines. Later he served on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Chronicle. From 1946 he worked as farmers and organized numerous cattle and horse shows. He made the Cow Palace in San Francisco, one of the leading providers of events of this kind
