Ole Ellefsæter

Ole Martin Ellefsæter (* February 15, 1939 in Furnes ) is a retired Norwegian cross-country skier and athlete.

In the 1968 Olympics he was on both the 50 km and with the Norwegian Relay Olympic champion. At the World Championships 1966 he won the silver medal in the relay gold medal and over 15 kilometers. In 1967 he was awarded the Holmenkollen medal in 1971 and he was the first Norwegian who won the Vasaloppet.

Ellefsæter has also been successful in athletics. From 1960 to 1965, he won six times in a row at the Norwegian Championships the 3000 -meter steeplechase. For his outstanding achievements in two different sports 1965 he was awarded the Egebergs Ærespris. He was awarded the Fearnleys olympiske ærespris 1968.
