Yasynuvata

Jassynuwata (Ukrainian Ясинувата; Russian Ясиноватая / Jassinowataja ) is a city in the north of Donetsk, the capital of the Oblast in eastern Ukraine. Jassynuwata is the center of Rajons same and has about 36,000 inhabitants ( 2013).

Its importance arises from the important railway junction of the city, one of the most important of this great center of heavy industry and coal mining ( Donets Basin ) with the largest marshalling yard in Ukraine.

Jassynuwata was founded in 1872 as a railway station. Especially in the 20s and 30s of the 20th century it was expanded to a large railway junction.
