El Salvador at the 1996 Summer Olympics

El Salvador took at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta for the sixth time in the Olympic Summer Games in part. The team consisted of eight athletes, of which six men and two were women. They appeared in ten competitions in five sports. The youngest participant was the float Francisco Suriano at 17 years and 365 days, the oldest was the judoka Juan Vargas with 32 years and 360 days. On July 19, Vargas carried the flag of El Salvador during the opening ceremony in the Olympic Stadium.
