Guinea at the 1996 Summer Olympics

Guinea took part in the Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta in 1996 for the sixth time in the Olympic Summer Games in part. The team consisted of five athletes, four men and one woman. They appeared in five contests in two sports. The youngest member of the team was the athlete Sylla M'Mah Touré with 17 years and 241 days, the oldest was Robert Loua, who also competed in athletics, with 27 years and 207 days. During the opening ceremony on 19 July 1996, the Athlete Joseph Loua carried the flag of Guinea in the Olympic Stadium. This honor was him four years later, again at the Summer Olympic Games 2000 in Sydney to participate.
