1987–88 FIS Ski Jumping World Cup
The Ski Jumping World Cup 1987/1988 (official name: FIS Ski Jumping World Cup 1987/88 ) was discharged from the International Ski Federation FIS between 5 December 1987 and the March 27, 1988 at 17 different locations in Europe, North America and Asia competition series in ski jumping. Originally, the implementation of 22 individual events was planned. Two competitions were canceled without replacement, so that 20 individual competitions were included in the ranking. The victory won in the championship this season for the fourth time the Finn Matti Nykänen, on the second and third place followed the Czechoslovak Pavel Ploc and the Yugoslav Primoz Ulaga. The Norwegian defending champion Vegard Opaas was number twelve. The Nations Cup won against Finland Czechoslovakia and the winning team last year Norway.
