Bettencourt-Rivière

Bettencourt -Rivière ( Picard: Bétincourt - Rivière ) is a northern French village with 208 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) by the Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Amiens, is part of the Communauté de communes de la Région d' Hallencourt, in the canton Molliens- Dreuil.

Geography

The two parts of municipalities located along the banks of the river interspersed with ponds Airaines, Bettencourt on the left ( west ), Rivière on the right ( eastern ). The municipality is crossed by the Department of Road D216 Airaines to Longpré- les- Corps -Saints. Through the community was opened in 1872 and 1993 disused single-track railway line from Longpré- les- Corps - Saints to Gamaches.
