Bosselshausen

Bosselshausen is a commune with 171 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. She is a member of the Communauté de communes du Pays de Hanau.

History

The name " Bosselshausen " is from the words " Boswald " - that is, an "evil forest " - and derived "house". Around 1720 the place was called in French " Posselshus ". Around this time there was a church full destroyed by the military. On March 1, 1974 merged with the neighboring community Kirrwiller Bosselshausen. Since 1 January 2007, the two villages are independent communities again.
