Obersoultzbach

Obersoultzbach (German Obersulzbach ) is a municipality with 423 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Pays de Hanau and in the department of Bas- Rhin in Alsace region of France. She is a member of the Communauté de communes du Pays de Hanau.

History

In a letter from Lorraine from the year 1213 the name " Solzbach " appears. This letter suggests that the place was then placed under the Abbey of Stürzelbronn.

As of 1335, the family of Lichtenberg was resident there.

1611, the zoo has been created.

The consequences of the Thirty Years' War Obersoultzbach was not spared.

Especially in the 14th century, farms and other industry sectors - including industry - established. In the same century, the Protestant church is dated.
