Wimmenau
Wimmenau is a commune with 1133 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Saverne, in the canton of La Petite- Pierre and community association Pays de La Petite- Pierre.
Geography
The municipality is situated on the Wimmenau Moder in the northern Vosges and is part of the biosphere reserve Palatinate Forest -Vosges du Nord.
The neighboring municipalities are Reipertswiller and Lichtenberg in the North East, Ingwiller the southeast, Sparbach in the south, Erckartswiller in the southwest, Wingen -sur -Moder in the west and Goetzenbruck in the northwest.
