Struth

Struth is a municipality with 249 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the canton of La Petite- Pierre in the department of Bas- Rhin in Alsace region of France. The community is involved in the biosphere reserve Palatinate Forest -Vosges du Nord.

Geography

The village is situated on the western flank of the Vosges between Strasbourg (76 km) and the German city of Saarbrücken (62 km). The closest neighboring village is Tieffenbach the north and is connected to the secondary road D 919. In addition, Struth is bordered to the northeast by Frohmuhl and Hinsbourg, on the southeast by La Petite- Pierre, on the south by Peter Brook and southwest Asswiller.

The main industry is agriculture.
